The Etch a Sketch toy was first introduced at the 1959 International Toy Fair in Nuremburg, Germany. It was then bought by the Ohio Toy company, who changed the name of the toy from DoodleMaster Magic Screen to Etch-A-Sketch.
Most 'baby boomers' are familiar with the red plastic toy with the glass drawing window - and the Etch a Sketch is now also available in other fashion colors!
