Star Wars is probably one of the all-time biggest and most successful film series ever. Starting with the tale of Luke Skywalker in 1977, Star Wars has since produced no less than six sequels, and created an empire of die-hard followers.
The Star Wars universe today includes fan clubs, regional forums, and licensed memorabilia for every age group.

Star Wars Light Saber Battle Game
While Luke Skywalker needed to use only the force in his training to become a Jedi knight (like his morally ambivalent and intermittently evil father), you will need a television set with AV inputs, an RF adaptor if your TV doesn't have those, and four AA batteries which are not included in this challenging lightsaber battle game. Simply plug in the training droid and hoist the rather dinky sword as you follow along on the TV adventures. You get a chance to fight against an array of bad guys like Jango Fett, Darth Maul, Emperor Palpatine (don't let appearances fool you, he's spry), and Anakin Skywalker while you fight alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon Jinn, Mace Windu, and others. --Charlie Williams

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic takes place just a few years after the Mandolorian Wars, thousands of years before the events in the Star Wars movies we know and love. Two Jedi, master Revan and his apprentice Malak, led the Republic's forces to victory and pursued the Mandalorians into deep space only to return as Dark Jedi at the head of a huge fleet of Sith warships. Only the Force powers of the Jedi Bastila prevented the Sith from overwhelming the Republic's weakened forces. At the start of the game Malak has usurped control of the Sith by betraying Revan and has attacked the ship carrying Bastila and yourself. In true Star Wars style, the game begins with a bang. The storyline could have been a standard coming-of-age yarn but is instead a genuinely interesting adventure told with humor, compassion, and respect for the source material. Your character has a mystical bond with Bastila, and the two of you share some kind of connection to the Sith villains Darth Malak and Darth Revan. The game's planet-hopping adventures are driven by your exploration of these connections and how they relate to your larger goal of discovering the source of the Sith's sudden fleet. During your adventure you can explore side quests minor (such as racing swoops or gambling) and major (such as uncovering the fascinating back stories of your companions). Star Wars fans will get a kick out of the rich lore introduced in the game, particularly the Tatooine storyline that reveals the origin and history of the Sand People. Gameplay is an abbreviated form of Wizards of the Coast's d20 Star Wars RPG game system--anyone who has played Dungeons

LEGO Star Wars Slave I
Collectors will find this rendition of Boba Fett's ship from Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back to be the best one yet when compared to previous incarnations of Slave I. It's bigger than the original Lego model (7144), which was released in 2000, and its bricks have truer colors. In addition, this version has about 100 more pieces than the 2002 release (7153) and is offered at a lower price point, plus has a much sturdier chassis. Features of this Slave I include a rotating and self-leveling cockpit and foils, a trap door that opens up to drop space mines, a top hatch that opens and launches a large missile, two side cargo compartments that store and drop rockets, and a cargo rack door that opens to fit a stenciled brick of Han Solo frozen in carbonite (a favorite piece among collectors). Other minifigs in this set include Boba Fett, a Bespin guard (with African-American skin tone), and two new figures--bounty hunters, IG-88 and Dengar--who are not found in any other Lego sets. The 537-piece Slave I takes anywhere from three to five hours to build with some help from the illustrated instructions. The manual also contains a full inventory of all pieces with part numbers in case a piece is lost and builders need to order a replacement. --Cristina Vaamonde

LEGO Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer
Designed to strike awe and terror into Rebels' hearts, the Imperial Star Destroyer and the rest of the Empire's fleet of space vessels maintain order in the galaxy through shows of power and ruthless fighting tactics. This massive (23-inches when assembled) Lego space ship, based on the Star Wars craft, will be a feather in the cap of any self-respecting Lego buff. With 1,366 pieces and a top and sides that swing open to reveal the inner workings, construction of the kit will be an adventure in itself. Once built, the Imperial Star Destroyer will provide hours more of play, as fans re-enact scenes from the millennia of fictional Star Wars history, or even create new battles and alliances in conjunction with other Lego Star Wars kits (Jabba's Sail Barge, the B-Wing Fighter, etc.). Kids (and adults) will love discovering the multiple gadgets within: a platform for Darth Vader to talk to a hologram of the Emperor, a meditation chamber for Darth Vader with a crane to remove his helmet, turbo laser cannons on the bridge that really discharge, an escape shuttle releases in case of emergency, a storage closet for Stormtrooper rifles, and a bridge that slides open. Nine mini-figures are included (Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, two Stormtroopers, two Emperor's Royal Guard, Imperial Officer, R2-D5, and Mouse Droid). --Emilie Coulter
